Syngonium Weindlandii, also known as Silver Goosefoot Plant, is a perennial vine belonging to the plant family of Araceae. It is a wonderful air purifying houseplant. NASA has given an approval to this plant as an indoor air pollutant remover. It has beautiful heart-shaped green leaves with silvery white mid-ribs. The velvety texture and the ornamental look of these leaves make it a decorative houseplant. This plant grows upto 6-8 inches tall. The plant requires watering after every 3-4 days.
However, Syngonium Weindlandii is essential to check the moisture of the soil and ensure that the top layer of the soil is dry enough before watering again. Avoid over watering the plant as that can cause yellowing of the leaves. Thus, it is important to water the plant appropriately. Hence, it prefers a light and free draining soil to drain out excess water. It thrives well in partial shade or indirect sunlight. Direct sunlight can scorch the leaves of this plant. Provide it with an adequate support for the vines to climb. Prune back the tips if you prefer shrubby growth. Clean the leaves regularly around twice a month to get rid of dust. Misting the plant will also benefit a lot in retaining moisture.
Syngonium wendlandii is a climber aroid, it has little arrow-shaped leaves that are dark green & velvety with white lines. It’s leaves mature into a complex-looking leaves with no white lines. It needs climbing to be mature. Great choice as a house plant.
