Good Luck Jade plant is a great air-purifying plant and particularly good at absorbing harmful gases like toluene and makes the air breathable. It is considered very auspicious. It is a good luck symbol for money also known as money plant, Friendship plant. In the feng shui, this plant is considered to bring good luck.

Jade is an easy to grow plant and is as a symbol of good luck. Water the plant consistently but make sure not to overwater it as it can lead to the leaves turning yellow or can cause root rot. Therefore, let the top soil dry out between two watering. Also, don’t let the soil dry out completely. Too little watering can lead to leaf-spotting or leaf-dropping. Reduce the watering frequency in winter as compared to summer and spring. The Jade plant is a succulent and requires well-draining soil. Using soil with sand or grit will improve the soil’s water-draining capacity. Young Jade plant needs bright indirect sunlight.

This plant isn’t too demanding and does fine in normal room temperature between 18-24℃. Additionally, it is advisable to fertilize the plant once every six months. Feed the plant with a balanced water soluble fertilizer. Ensure that you water the plant first before fertilizing it because using fertilizer directly on dry soil can damage the plant’s roots. The plant needs repotting once it outgrows its current pot size. It is preferable to repot during warm seasons. While repotting, ensure that the soil is dry before gently taking the plant out. Get rid of the old soil and look out for dead or rotted roots. Place the plant in the new pot and fill it with new potting mix. Also, it is easy to propagate the Jade plant. Place its leaves in a succulent or cacti mix and cover them till they sprout.

 

Light: The important aspect of the care and maintenance of jade plants is how much sun they receive. They need full sun in order to grow properly. h. Although Jade plants prefer full sun, but they will tolerate light shade and the dappled light too to grow well.

Water: Don’t water your jade plant on a schedule. Rather, water your jade plant when the top of soil is just dry to the touch. Be careful not to overwater your jade plant as the succulent leaves soon become yellow and start to rot.

Soil: All succulents like Jade require well-draining soil and do well in rock gardens or pots with lots of sand and grit.
