Monstera Broken Heart Plant, also known as the ‘Swiss Cheese Plant’ is a tropical plant from the Araceae family.  Its name in Latin means “abnormal” because of its odd-shaped, perforated leaves that are often punched with holes.

Monstera Broken Heart Plant as a tropical plant requires a lot of space. As such it is one of those Indoor plants that should be placed in a “statement-making” location in the living room, rather than a corner or on a windowsill.

Monstera should be kept in an area that receives moderate, indirect sunlight and should be watered evenly once a week. Wait until the soil is dry before watering the plant again.

The Monstera is an easy-going plant and is generally pest-free. Use a well-draining garden-potting-soil-general-purpose. Mix in ingredients such as perlite to increase soil aeration as need.
